The State of Spurs 2

Quick catch up. Things were pretty grim for a while this season. The whole Nuno disaster. The lack of movement, Conte pulling his hair out and looking worried post every match, however the past 4, 5 maybe 6 matches I am seeing some big improvements. Throwing out the bad eggs helped a lot; Lo Celso, Ndombele, Dele. Good riddance. Wish Winks and Sanchez was on that list also. None the less, getting rid of deadwood improved the morale of the remainders. Dier has been immense, he’s really come a long way even though I believe him to be somewhat technically limited and slow. We have in Bentancur a proper midfielder, and with Kulusevski a man with vision. Skipp is sorely missed. He is an important player. Just maybe 4 more acquisitions and some returning from injury will mean Spurs is a contender for the top4. We still need a left sided defender, Davies can have very off days and needs someone to compete with him. RB/RWB also, both Doherty and Emerson need to be moved on, its just not working out with them. Plus a striker to replace Kane when he’s not on it. We have decent cover in the other positions otherwise. Oh and plus a new goalie, and possibly another backup midfielder unless Sarr joins up and looks the business. Injuries have hobbled Tantanga who I felt could have sat in the right side role for days Romero wasnt playing.
